hi jack, sorry it's been a while since i last wrote. time flies. especially in the life of a pachuta. anyway quick recap: went to athens, corfu, santorini and rhodes for our honeymoon (along with italy). was a remarkable experience. i know you've been there that's why i thought i'd share this with you. we liked rhodes the best--had a lot to offer. other than that i've been trying to promote one of my dot.com clients and watching football every chance i get. FYI-a while back a chris pachuta left me a message on my voicemail and introduced himself wanting to know if we might be related, but i erased the message before writing down his number. he said he got my number from you...can you help me out on getting in touch with him? also, is there a pachuta reunion happening in the near future? (do they happen at all?) i may be interested in attending, if i were to be invited. that's all for now. keep in touch, as will I. one last thing. i may be in chicago this january at a trade show for a few days. how far is that from cedarburg? maybe we could meet up if you have time and the distance is minimal. just a thought. take care, MP |

thanks for the info., jack. I'm not
sure yet of the exact dates i'll be in chicago, but I doubt if we'll (i'm bringing my wife
on this trip) have time to see any of wisc., though I wish we could. if, somehow, we could
have lunch or dinner in the city, or perhaps meet you halfway by train, that would be
great. I could have my mom send me some old photos of my dad and his siblings and we can
futher compare notes. you seem like a pretty busy guy so don't make any special trips if your schedule is full. I
don't know if I told you before, but I'm also a Penn State grad. The blue and white blood of PSU football
runs through my veins. Since you are located smack in the middle of big 10 country I thought you ought to
know this. Not that the nittany lions are anything to fear this season. but we'll be back!! always wanted
to see lambeau. I have brett favre as my fantasy quarterback, but he hasn't performed very
well for me so far. not all his fault, he has lost a lot of his supporting cast and his
line stinks. your thoughts? i'll be looking for you on that monday game...maybe if you
make a sign that says "pachutas love ABC and dennis miller" they will put you on
the air. thanks for the info on chris. i will get in touch with him. also, you never
answered my question about whether or not there are pachuta reunions from time-to-time.
have a great day. look forward to hearing from you. Michael

My brother-in-law just called me
with the deal of a lifetime, which I thought I'd share with you. Being an attorney for
Microsoft he gets a lot of perks, but this one tops them all. He was invited to fly on the
Oakland Raiders private team jet to Denver to see the Monday night game with the Broncos
and was told to bring someone along if he wanted. Well, that someone is me!! I'm so wound
up about it my head hurts. In addition to hangin' with the team, we get to watch the game
from a luxury box. I'll let you know how it goes. Just think, two Pachutas, each making
appearances at Monday night football games in consecutive weeks. That's gotta be a first.
Get Guiness on the phone! Talk to you soon. Michael

back from frigid denver. what an
experience!! not only did I fly with and get to meet many of the raiders on my trip, we
were given field/press box passes so I was able to meet all the key announcers too:
dickerson, chris berman, dennis miller, etc. not to gloat or anything, just had an awesome
time. something I'll always cherish. took some great photos on the field as well.
Had I not been so star struck, I might have been quick to hang a pachuta.com sign behind
the raider bench! Maybe next time. We had a major scare when taking off out of denver at
about midnight after the game. the pilot of the hawaiin airlines jet that the raiders
chartered aborted take off due to instrument malfunctions. We were at full speed on the
runway when all of a sudden the flaps popped up and the pilot hit the brakes. I thought we
were going to hit something for sure. Some of the raider players were trying to get off
the plane to book their own flights home because they were scared. so was I. We
taxied back to the gate and mechanics worked on the jet for about 2.5 hours. We had to sit
on the plane the whole time watching the Charlies Angels movie. Horrible flick! I said a
prayer and was pretty nervous when we took off again, but this time all went smooth. All I
kept thinking was "I'm going down with the raiders!!" Sorry to ramble on, just
thought you might find this story interesting. By the way, I hope packer fans aren't
as rude and obnoxious as the bronco fans were. the ratio of idiots to civil fans at the
game was about 9-to-1 in the first quarter then jumped to 12-to-1 by the end of the game.
Sorry about Favre. Looks like i'm going to have to start jeff george this week vs. the
rams on my fantasy team. hey, at least the pack beat the spread. have a great day, jack. Michael |
